A NOTE FROM ACCA President, Ed Heward |
May 25, 2007
Dear Collision Member:
We are very excited to announce that the Board of Directors of the Arizona Collision Craftsmen’s Association and the Automotive Service Association of Arizona has voted to accept a consolidation that would enhance the ability to better serve the memberships of both organizations.
As we mentioned before, several of the reasons for this merger are:
§ Improved ability to serve the automotive industry
§ Improved delivery of new and existing member services
§ Increased public profile
§ Increased influence due to greater numbers
§ Increased purchasing power
§ Consolidation of offices and overhead expenses
ASA’s structure allows for local representation and meetings. Each collision member will be assigned to its respective Chapter around the state and invited to its local meetings. You are also welcome to attend all board meetings and state board meetings; dates, time and location are posted in the monthly newsletter.
The two boards will govern together at the Phoenix Chapter until a structure is agreed upon and committees are established. This complementary relationship will reduce overlap in the association marketplace and increase the value and influence of the industry.
Your membership dues investment for the year will be carried over and no additional dues will be billed to you until May 2008. You will be receiving information on the member benefits that you are now entitled to from the National ASA office in Bedford, Texas as well as the State ASA office in Phoenix and directly from our providers. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact
§ Luz Rubio, Executive Direct at the ASA Arizona office at 602-544-2600,
§ Dan Guido, ASA State Chairman at 602-550-4715
